Biography

Ingrid F. Lozano is a professional dance educator, award-winning choreographer, and former professional dancer who has been teaching and inspiring students for over 30 years. Lozano specializes in the Vaganova Method and holds a B.A. in Art and Dance from Virginia Intermont College and a Masters of Education in Dance and Theater from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas. She trained at the prestigious Royal Winnipeg Ballet in Canada with a scholarship and with the Cuban Ballet of Alicia Alonso. While receiving her dance training she studied various dance genres including Modern Dance, Spanish/ Mexican Folklore, and Jazz. Lozano danced professionally as a soloist with companies in the United States including Fort Worth Ballet Company in TX., Bristol Concert Ballet in VA., and the Willis Ballet in Lubbock, TX., as well as in Mexico City with the National Ballet Company. She has also served as a dance professor and assistant director at Virginia Intermont College and Texas Tech University.

Lozano has staged and choreographed several full-length classical ballets such as The Nutcracker, Coppelia, Cinderella, Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty, Carmen, Don Quixote, and Les Sylphides.

From 2012-2014, Lozano joined the faculty of Allen Ting Ballet in China where she served as an international guest teacher and choreographer for a youth ballet company in Nanchang. She taught and coached advanced students for the RAD examinations in Hong Kong and also taught professional dancers from The Beijing Dance Academy. From 2009-2018, Lozano was associated with The Center for Contemporary Dance in Winter Park, FL. as Director of Education, Ballet Teacher, Choreographer, and Artistic Director of CCD Ballet Ensemble.

Lozano has served as an artistic director, owner, professor, ballet mistress, and guest teacher with professional companies, public schools, universities, and dance schools worldwide. Her choreography has been performed in Texas, Florida, Alaska, Nanchang, and Hong Kong. Recognized for her expertise In the Vaganova Method, she is sought by and continues to consult professional dance centers across the globe, assisting them in building an outstanding classical ballet program.
